SINGAPORE - Hilton is eyeing Singapore travellers when
it opens three new resorts in southern Thailand and adds a
city hotel in Bangkok by early 2006.
This brings Hilton's total room count in Thailand from 296
to 1,852.
The hotel group is targetting the untapped potential of
Singapore for short-haul breaks and the MICE market
"We will work with our travel industry partners to
increase our share of the 45,000 Singaporeans who have
visit Thailand in a month," said newly appointed director
of sales, Angelia Chew.
She said all of Hilton's Thai properties are within a
two-hour flight from Changi Airport and within easy reach
of the weekend traveller.
The group plans to aggressively promote the Thai
properties to Singaporeans. The 695-room Hilton Phuket
Arcadia Resort & Spa is set to open this October.
