Kuala Lumpur - Hilton Kuala Lumpur, the new flagship property for Hilton International in Malaysia, has opened after a three-year absence. Almost half of the 510 rooms are already filled with delegates from a medical symposium, according to general manager, Kees Hartzuiker. ““For the first time since the Asian crisis, hotels in Kuala Lumpur, from budget to five-star, are enjoying good business,” he said. Almost 80 percent of the hotel guests are expected to be business travellers from Malaysia, Singapore, Hong Kong, Japan, Europe and the USA. The leisure sector will come from a wider spread of source markets.
