Hilton Cebu to open in July

MANILA - Hilton Cebu Resort & Towers is targetting a July 2003 opening. Manuel Osmea, president of project proponent Goldland Philippines, told TravelWeekly the property is "92 per cent complete."

The luxury residential and resort hotel is located in Mactan, Cebu, and boasts a private stretch of white sand beach adjacent to Shangri-La Mactan Island Resort. Facilities will include function and meeting rooms, a marina and a spa & full-service health club.

Industry players said the opening of Hilton Cebu will help ease the perennial shortage of luxury rooms and MICE facilities in Cebu.
