The Grand Stanford Inter-Continental Hong Kong became the first hotel in Hong Kong to have staff who are Fire

Safety Ambassador Trainers. Eighteen staff members were appointed as Fire Safety Ambassador Trainers by the Fire Services Department.

The Fire Safety Ambassador Scheme, established in 1997, aims to increase the fire safety awareness of organizations, and to reduce fire incidents due to improper handling and installation of fire services establishments.
