The Department of Economy and Tourism in Dubai met a delegation from the Malaysian Ministry of Tourism on 7 January to discuss ideas to enhance the development of the travel and tourism sector for mutual leverage.

Issam Kazim, CEO of the Dubai Corporation for Tourism and Commerce Marketing met Dato’ Seri Haji Abdul Karim Rahman Hamza, Minister of State for Tourism, Arts, Culture, Youth and Sports in Sarawak and his accompanying delegation.

During the meeting, they discussed ideas and opportunities that would facilitate the exchange of knowledge and experiences. It was an initiative that boded well for Dubai as Malaysia travellers are an important source market.

In December last year, the Malaysia Pavilion had participated in the Dubai Ecotourism Week at Expo 2020 Dubai, where it highlighted green and sustainable products and activities.
