SINGAPORE - Fiera Milano, Europe's second largest exhibition organiser, has set up an office in Singapore with plans to expand into the region.

Its representative office, operating as G&B Asia since April this year, handles Indonesia, Malaysia and Brunei. It's looking to expand into the Philippines and Vietnam.

"We are in the process of establishing relationships with exhibition organisers in the region," Tommaso Serrano, executive manager of G&B Asia told TravelWeekly.

"We held discussions with some organisers here and have a few projects at hand."

Serrano said he's been promoting events in Italy here and attracting visitors and exhibitors from Singapore.

Recently he brought a group of Singapore florists to one of their shows in Italy.

"We want to establish a network in Singapore. We are looking at management of shows and joint ventures too," he said.
