19 April 2002SYDNEY - Creative Holidays, Australia's largest
independent wholesaler, will this week begin the launch of
its domestic product range in an electronic brochure
format.
ExpressTravelBrochure (ETB) will save wholesalers and
retailers tens of millions of dollars in print and
distribution costs, its originators claim. Australian
companies Travel Solutions, which is marketing the ETB, and
DNAML, which developed the technology, said the Creative
launch is a world first.
The Jetset-Travelworld group and internet agencies
travel.com.au and lastminute.com have also adopted
ETBs.
Flight Centre, American Express, Harvey World Travel and
UTAG have confirmed they will also host all preferred
products on their intranet and/or Internet sites.
Travel Solutions said it was negotiating with other
wholesalers to produce full brochure ranges as ETBs.
In New Zealand, Air New Zealand Holidays is producing a
selection of brochures as ETBs.
