SINGAPORE – Fans of toy brand Nerf, known for its plastic toy guns that shoot foam darts, will be able to have an interactive experience at the world’s first Nerf-themed attraction, which opened doors in Singapore last Friday (Oct 4).
Jointly created by Kingsmen Creatives and Hasbro Inc, the Nerf Action Xperience (NAX) arena houses four different activity zones across its 18,000 sq ft footprint. Activities are suitable for players aged three to 16.
The family-friendly attraction aims to “encourage learning, team building and family or community bonding through active play”, said Andrew Cheng, group chief executive officer of Kingsmen.
Players have a chance to battle it out at two Nerf-themed settings in teams of up to six or go through an obstacle course of drop slides and high-rope elements.
Competitive players can battle it out in teams of up to six at two Nerf-themed settings such as a zombie apocalypse or desert sand dunes.
For toddlers and young kinds, there is a themed playground where they can race through zip lines, obstacle courses and a giant pool of nerf dart balls.
At an arts activity area, players get to design their own shirts and tote bags using super soakers and fabric tie-dye.
“Singapore is the perfect location for the world’s first NAX arena,” said Matt Proulx, vice president of global branded experience of Hasbro.
“The NAX arena is unique and will enrich Singapore’s family-friendly offerings. STB will continue to support industry partners with good ideas to make Singapore ever more interesting and fun for visitors and locals,” said Keith Tan, chief executive of STB.
The NAX arena is open daily from 10am to 10pm, with the last entry at 7.30pm. Single players and groups are welcome, with four rooms available for event bookings.
Kingsmen be launching more of such family entertainment centres in locations around the world within the next few years.
