Macau's art and cultural scene sees the addition of a new interactive exhibition.

Macau-based entertainment resort City of Dreams is introducing Showroom, a two-storey art and retail space spread over 1,580sqm, which is expected to showcase an immersive multidimensional art and retail element this October.

The flagship destination is inspired by the City of Dreams logo where the exterior design with its iconic circular windows brings in natural lighting to enhance the atmosphere. At night, it would appear transparent, exposing the ongoings inside, allowing an “incredible visual experience”.

City of Dreams, owned and operated by Melco Resorts & Entertainment, is collaborating with Forward Fashion (International) Holdings Co Ltd to present Artelli at Showroom, which will be launched on 28 October.

International artists are being invited to bring their original artworks to showcase at Artelli, where the pieces would be available for sale to collectors.

A combination of the words Art and Intelligence, brand name Artelli would create a one-of-a-kind storied experience with exclusive art exhibits, limited edition debut items and draft sketches. The art event is aimed at building a community for art and culture, while cultivating art creations and commercial elements.

In future, Artelli would work with world-renowned top artists and brand designers to launch exclusive collections, and become the ultimate luxury art community platform and hub to house contemporary art.

David Sisk, Chief Operating Officer of Macau Resorts, Melco Resorts and Entertainment looks forward to continuing working with the Macau SAR government and contributing to the city's art and cultural landscape development.

Meanwhile, Cyrus Fong, Executive Director of Forward Fashion and founder of Artelli said due to the advancement of technology, art spaces operating on a single channel do not satisfy people's interest in art collection as much as before.

As such, Artelli will become a new global landmark for art and culture, which would narrow the gap between art enthusiasts and artworks, enabling immersive “art-meet-live” experiences, he added.
