Stasher is the world's first luggage storage network, connecting people with hotels and stores that can keep their luggage safe while enjoying time in a city.

And when it is not stashing people’s luggage, Stasher is having bit of fun packing up the world’s best destinations into some sort of order - with very surprisingly results.

Stasher says, “Just like the selfie stick, tourist attractions can divide opinion. But how to tell the eye-openers from the eyesores? The attractions you’ll remember forever and the ones you’ll want to quickly forget.”

Surprisingly (or unsurprisingly), Machu Piccu in Cuzco, Peru, one of the world’s most iconic tourist attractions, was ranked 44th, while Egypt's Pyramids of Egypt came in at 76th position.

Meanwhile, Stasher ranked the Great Wall of China as just 91 out of a list of 99 global attractions while India’s Taj Mahal managed only to score a lowly 97th spot.

So, who made the top spot?

Drum roll for Hungarian Parliament Building in Budapest, ahead of Disneyland Paris in France, and The Blue Lagoon in Iceland.

The Plaza de Espana in Spain made it to No 4, while Angkor Wat in Cambodia, at 5th spot, is the highest ranked attraction in Asia.

Stasher said it used using a specific set of data points to sort out “the crème de la crème from the tourist traps in order to find the best around the globe”.

Information was culled from TripAdvisor, Google Reviews and then aligned alongside Instagram Engagement, and each attractions’ ease of access, quality accommodation and safety and security.

After Angkor Wat, Asia's next best placed attraction is the Universal Studios Japan (19), ahead of other theme park favourites Tokyo Disney Sea (28), Tokyo Disneyland (34), Universal Studios Singapore (45), and Hong’s Kong’s two theme parks, Disneyland (77) and Ocean Park (93).

Other standouts were Tuol Sleng Genocide Museum (23) in Cambodia, Wat Pho (31) and Grand Palace (40) in Bangkok, the War Remnants Museum in Ho Chi Minh City (61) and the Terracotta Army in Xian (72).
