From floating in the sea to skiing down a mountain, you might think you are in an exotic destination in some far flung region of the globe.
But, no, this is Penang where the latest rides at ESCAPE Penang have opened to coincide with the theme park’s 10th anniversary.
The new attractions comprise a first-of-its-kind ski slope in a tropical setting; and a Dead Sea Pool, in which visitors can float naturally.
Inaugurating the launch of the new attractions was 18-year-old Malaysian Olympic alpine skier, Aruwin Salehhuddin, who showcased her skills on the Ski Slope.

Harith Iskander was first to float at the Dead Sea Pool.
The 10th anniversary celebrations were launched by Tuan Chow Kon Yeow, Penang’s chief minister, who said ESCAPE was a global success story, “started right here by our very own Penang boy, Dato Sim Choo Kheng”.
