Scoot has announced its first ever partnership with The Pokemon Company with the launch of sales of flights for Pokemon Air Adventures onboard an aircraft aptly named the Pikachu Jet.

The Pikachu Jet will operate two scheduled flights every month, with two routes set for Tokyo and Seoul. Travellers can start flying from 9 September when the first flight sets off from Singapore to Tokyo and back. The Pikachu Jet will then fly between Singapore and Seoul from 22 September.

Flight routes will be reviewed periodically and adjusted based on customer demand.

Fares for a one-way flight on the Singapore–Tokyo and Singapore–Seoul routes start from S$333 (US$241) and S$231 respectively, inclusive of taxes.

The Pikachu Jet is a Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner with a capacity of 375 seats, comprising 35 seats in ScootPlus and 340 seats in Economy. Not only will the aircraft livery and interior be emblazoned with Pokemon graphics, passengers will also be treated to Pokemon-themed activities and inflight meals.

Other than Tokyo and Seoul, the Pikachu Jet will also be rostered on other routes operated by the Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner as part of Scoot’s regular operations. This means that some lucky passengers may find themselves travelling on this Pokemon-themed aircraft even if they had not specifically booked to fly on one of the marketed routes.

Scoot will soon be unveiling the Pokemon-themed aircraft livery. Upon its launch, customers can also look forward to purchasing from a range of Pokemon collectibles, inclusive of a lanyard, a bag and bucket hat, exclusive to the partnership onboard Scoot flights, or Scoot’s website and mobile app.
