It’s really cool, it’s really innovative, it’s really service oriented, but is the new Thai carrier, Really Cool Airlines, well... real?

Of course, says its chief executive, Patee Sarasin, who says the new full-service carrier aims to revitalise Thailand’s aviation and hospitality industry.

With its 'We Fly the Future' ethos, Really Cool Airlines is “dedicated to creating viable growth that all its stakeholders can take pride in,” Sarasin says.

"Our team has worked tirelessly to create a new standard for the aviation industry, and we’re excited to unveil in the coming months what we have in store."

Sarasin, one of Thailand's leading entrepreneurs and previously the chief executive of Nok Air, says his vision combines innovations in service approaches and technology “to stimulate the Thai aviation, tourism and logistics markets”.

Really Cool Airlines plans to announce aircraft types, destinations, and its route network “in the coming months”, with operations expected to commence by the end of 2023.

Also, to be revealed are details on the approaches and services “that will set Really Cool Airlines apart from the rest of the world,” Sarasin says.

The start-up airline has support in high places. Bangkok governor Chadchart Sittipunt said Really Cool Airlines is a welcome addition to Thailand's aviation sector, “and we are proud to support it”.

“Their commitment to providing a unique flying experience will not only enhance the travel experience for passengers, but also contribute to the growth of Thailand's resurgent travel and hospitality industries.

“We look forward to their inaugural flight.”
