Korean Air is introducing its SkyPets loyalty programme on the back of a significant increase in passengers travelling with pets.

In the first half of this year, Korean Air recorded 23,000 passengers travelling with pets in the first half of 2023 alone, which translated into a noteworthy 29% year-on-year rise in passengers travelling with their furry and feathered companions.

The SkyPets programme aims to offer a convenient, enjoyable, and memorable travel experience for pets, including dogs, cats, and pet birds above eight weeks old, ensuring the utmost care for pets throughout their journey by providing pet-friendly cabins and professional handlers, guaranteeing their comfort and safety.

Through the SkyPets loyalty programme, passengers can earn stamps for each flight taken with their pets. Domestic flights earn one stamp per cage, per segment, while international flights earn two stamps per cage, per segment. These earned stamps can be redeemed for discounts and benefits on future Korean Air flights.

For passengers, collecting six stamps offers a 50% discount on one domestic flight segment, while collecting 12 stamps provides a free domestic flight segment or a 50% discount on one international flight segment. Collecting 24 stamps grants a free international flight segment.
