Emirates is launching a new daily flight between Bangkok and Auckland, with a stop-over in Sydney.
Effective from 30 October, flight EK418 will depart Bangkok at 1930h to arrive in Auckland at 3.55pm the next day, after a short stop in Sydney.
The return flight, EK419 departs Auckland at 4.30pm, makes a stop in Sydney at 5.55pm, before arriving in Bangkok at 1:10am the next morning.
The service then continues onwards to Dubai, arriving at 6.45am.
The service is part of a planned reroute of the EK418/419 service, currently operating from Dubai to Christchurch, via Bangkok and Sydney. The new route will operate from Dubai to Auckland, via Bangkok and Sydney.
Emirates has a codeshare agreement with Bangkok Airways, passengers will also be able to connect seamlessly onto this service from 14 destinations in Southeast Asia, including eight destinations in domestic Thailand, with their luggage checked through to their final destination.
Emirates is the only airline offering year-round scheduled A380 services to and from New Zealand.
