The Airbus A330 service will link Hong Kong to the Gold Coast, continuing to Cairns enroute back to Hong Kong.
Li Dianchun, commercial director of Hong Kong Airlines, said, “The route is designed to cater to the growing demand for the Gold Coast and Cairns, both of which are popular destinations for leisure travel.”
According to Tourism and Events Queensland, holidaymakers contributed to 72.5% of Hong Kong visitors to Queensland in 2014.
