The four weekly flights to the Laotian UNESCO Heritage will be the airline group’s 70th intra-Asean route connecting all 10 Asean countries.
AirAsia will launch a new route connecting Kuala Lumpur to Luang Prabang in Laos on November 21, making it the “first and only airline” to connect the two cities with a direct service, according to them.
The four weekly flights to the Laotian UNESCO Heritage will be the airline group’s 70th intra-Asean route connecting all 10 Asean countries.
The new service will also be AirAsia’s fourth route into Laos after Kuala Lumpur–Vientiane, Bangkok–Vientiane, and Bangkok-Luang Prabang.
Spencer Lee, AirAsia’s head of commercial, said the Kuala Lumpur-Luang Prabang service would help connect the people and close borders to create a true Asean community.
“We look forward to launching many more intra-Asean routes in near future to facilitate greater growth of the region’s tourism sector as well as the economy.”
To celebrate the introduction of the new route AirAsia is offering free seats (excluding airport taxes, fees and other optional services) for a limited period of time. Booking online at www.airasia.com from now until 25 September 2016. The travel period for this promotion is from November 21, 2016 until October 28, 2017.
