Air Japan – a new Japanese airline for medium-haul international
routes under ANA Holdings – will enter service on 9 February 2024, with a
Boeing 787-8 Dreamliner fleet serving the route between Tokyo Narita
International Airport (NRT) and Bangkok Suvarnabhumi Airport (BKK).
The budget carrier aims to seeks to meet the diverse needs of leisure
and business travellers by providing passengers with the freedom to
select and customise their services. It is touted to have the quality of
a full-service carrier and the convenience of a low-cost carrier.
Airfares and schedule
Air Japan's inaugural flight between Tokyo Narita and Bangkok will
take off from 9 February 2024, offering six flights a week before
operating daily flights in April 2024. The flights will depart from
Narita Airport's Terminal 1, providing easy connections to flights
operated by ANA Group airlines.
The one-way fares departing from Tokyo Narita will start at 15,500
yen (US$109), with three fare options: Simple, Standard, and Selected,
catering to diverse customer needs.
A taste of Japan

Air Japan provides 13 in-flight meal options reflecting Japan's cuisine.
Air Japan will offer a wide variety of in-flight meal options,
including 13 different types available for purchase at the time of
ticket reservation.
These meals will reflect the tastes and culture of Japan, with
options for vegetarian and other dietary preferences. Meals passengers
can opt for include charcoal-grilled chicken rice bowl with fluffy and
creamy egg, chicken namban rice bowl served with sunrise tartar sauce; sushi box; omusubi rice ball bento, grilled chicken salad with balsamic dressing.
Additionally, in-flight purchase menus will feature Japan's regional delicacies, contributing to the reduction of food waste.
Entertainment and comfort
Passengers on Air Japan flights will have access to in-flight WiFi to
stream the latest Hollywood movies, children's programmes, animated
cartoons, and Air Japan original videos. The aircraft will be equipped
with comfortable seats featuring tablet holders and wide legroom.
Amenities like blankets and original goods will also be available for
purchase onboard.
