Accorhotels.com steps up expansion on the Web mobile channel with two new smartphone applications

SINGAPORE - Users of Blackberry and Samsung Bada smartphones will have a dedicated application, providing access to more than 3,000 hotels around the world that operate under the Pullman, MGallery, Novotel, SuiteNovotel, Mercure, Adagio, ibis, all seasons, Etap Hotel, Formule 1 et hotelF1 brands. Intuitive and accurate, these Accorhotels.com applications will include functions that enable users to conduct searches according to predefined criteria like, geolocalization and current date and also refine their search depending, for example, on preferred brands or number of children and further functionalities. A function that memorizes search preferences also helps save precious time when booking while moving around. Member of Accor's A|Club loyalty program could also enter their card number and earn points each time they book from their smartphone. Business travellers will now be able to find negotiated rates on BlackBerry and iPhone Accorhotels.com applications thanks to an update in the coming weeks. In addition to providing a showcase, smartphones also create added value for the Accorhotels.com portal, which has been adapted to meet new customer needs with an ambitious target of 260 000 bed-nights has been set for 2011.
