SINGAPORE - ABACUS International has developed an Internet booking engine for Royal Brunei Airlines (RBA).

The site, at www.bruneiair.com is a one-stop shop where passengers can buy tickets, choose how to collect their tickets as well as specify seats and meal preferences.

RBA's online system is built using Java and open systems technologies on a three-tiered architecture, based on the ABACUS WEBlink suite of booking engine solutions. The Internet booking engine is also integrated with RBA's online payment gateway solution.

The site also features a membership system giving the airline key marketing data on its customers' buying preferences and other travel-related details. Also available is the FareX system which provides storage and search capabilities on market fares and rules.
