BANGKOK - Hoteliers in Bangkok were smiling ear to ear last week when hotels in the Thai capital were enjoying full occupancies as the city hosted the mega AIDS conference.
"It should always be like this," said Shangri-La Bangkok general manager Adrian Mueller, whose hotel saw 95 percent occupancy.
"All the five and four-star hotels were enjoying full occupancies. All the hoteliers had a big smile on their faces."
Though the conference ended last week, hotels continue to enjoy high occupancies this week, as events that were postponed during the conference make their comeback.
