The Murray, Hong Kong, a Niccolo Hotel - opening in late 2017 - is stepping up to become a leading hospitality and events destination in Hong Kong.
Global architectural and design studio Foster + Partners has retained a signature feature of the landmark building - the former driveway that circled the building beneath the iconic three-storey arches.
The space will be transformed into a semi-alfresco venue, named The Arches, with views of Hong Kong Park and St. John’s Cathedral.
Duncan Palmer, managing director of The Murray, Hong Kong, says The Arches will provide a blank canvas for creative events, from fashion shows and luxury automotive showcases, to exhibitions, cocktail parties and social gatherings.
At the Hotel’s Garden Level, The Murray Lawns offer 150 sqm of landscaped event space that can accommodate up to 125 guests.
Multi-purpose function rooms on the hotel’s second floor are workspaces for executive meetings, seminars and break out rooms.
At 420 sqm, the Niccolo Room is the hotel’s largest indoor venue, welcoming up to 360 guests for a cocktail-style reception.
The Murray’s top floor will feature a rooftop restaurant, bar and terrace. The focal point of the 355-sqm restaurant and bar venue is The Aviary - a private dining room with a glass façade that will accommodate up to 12 guests surrounded by the rooftop terrace.
