Mandarin Oriental, Washington DC travel42 Professional Hotel Review
Location and History
What was once an obscure Southwest location eyeing the Potomac from between the 14th Street and Francis Case bridges has now become the backbone of a popular dining and entertainment hub known as The Wharf.
Topped with a Mansard roof, this neoclassical 12-story establishment is just three blocks from the Smithsonian Castle and conveniently situated by the Tidal Basin (in fact, its garden terrace features cherry trees planted by the Mayor of Tokyo).
