SYDNEY - If you don’t know what the towns of Bland, Dull and Boring have in common, allow us to tell you.

All three towns – Boring in Australia, Dull in Scotland and Boring in Oregon, USA, are featured in a  three-part video series, created by Singapore Airlines and the Singapore Tourist Board (STB) to enlighten travellers on the exciting and unexpected side to visiting Singapore.

Titled Unexpected Journeys, the light-hearted film series follows Singapore comedian Rishi Budhrani, as he meets the Wilson family from the New South Wales  town of Bland and invites them to discover unexpected experiences in his hometown.

In Singapore, the Wilsons were presented with a range of options to enjoy as a family, including Sentosa island, tasting traditional cuisine at The Coconut Club, cooling down with ice cream sandwiches from the local ice cream 'uncle' and experiencing a cooking class with locals on the island of Pulau Ubin.

The video also features locals from the towns of Dull and Boring and follows the towns' recent joint efforts to combat the misconceptions their names create.

Singapore Tourism Board's area director Oceania, Stephanie Yong, said, “The Unexpected Journeys campaign continues our partnership with Singapore Airlines to tell the Singapore story in a refreshing and light-hearted manner.”
