Singapore is poised for a strong recovery in 2023 after welcoming 6.3 million visitors in 2022, exceeding its initial forecast of 6 million. To achieve its ambitious goal of 12 to 14 million visitors in 2023, the Singapore Tourism Board (STB) unveiled the SingapoRewards programme at ITB Berlin 2023 on 7 March.

The SingapoRewards programme offers short-term visitors to Singapore a choice of about 40 complimentary curated experiences across various categories, such as novelty and fun; food and dining; wellness; and sustainability. The number of experiences available for visitors to choose from will continue to scale over time.

According to Keith Tan, CEO of the Singapore Tourism Board, "As more international travellers return, we wanted to enhance their experience in Singapore by introducing them to the breadth and the richness of hidden gems and experiences that are not so well known, that are unique for Singapore."

He added, "Singapore wants to bring visitors off the beaten path to discover Singapore's lesser-known places of interest and activities and help them to experience our vibrant and diverse culture."

Under the SingapoRewards programme, visitors can look forward to fresh and authentic experiences such as an Instagram walking tour through exciting neighborhoods like Bugis, Waterloo, and Kampong Glam, a dining cruise down the iconic Singapore River, or a breakfast experience in the wild at the Singapore Zoo.

The SingapoRewards programme is digitalised on a single platform, making it easy for visitors to browse experiences, redeem them, and share their experiences digitally. This aligns with Singapore's vision of becoming a Smart Nation and using technology to enhance the visitor experience.

Tourists heading over to Singapore can choose and redeem their free experiences through the following four steps:

1. Create account
Create or sign in to your Visit Singapore account

2. Browse experience
Browse experiences that you are interested in and make a booking

3. Verify arrival

4. Present ticket
