In a move to cater to the increasing number of Chinese arrivals to the country, Cambodia has announced that visitors from China will now be able to pay in Chinese currency at all tourism services throughout the country.

Until recently, all foreign visitors to the country could use either Cambodia riel or US dollars for their payment.

The adoption of the Chinese renminbi is expected to make it easier for Chinese tourists to spend their money in Cambodia, as it eliminates the need for currency exchange and also saves them from paying additional fees. Additionally, it will also give local businesses in Cambodia a boost as they will now be able to receive payments in a more convenient manner.

Cambodia has been making a concerted effort to attract more Chinese tourists to the country. In recent years, the number of Chinese tourists visiting Cambodia has been growing rapidly, making it one of the largest tourist markets for the country.

The Cambodian government has been implementing several initiatives to improve the tourist experience and make it easier for visitors to spend their money in the country.

The move to accept Chinese currency is expected to further boost the number of Chinese tourists visiting Cambodia and help promote trade and and strengthen economic ties between the two countries.
