Hosted by the Hong Kong Tourism Board (HKTB) and title-sponsored by Cathay Pacific Airways, the parade will be based around the theme of “Best Fortune. World Party”. 

The annual Cathay Pacific International Chinese New Year Night Parade will take place on February 5 from 8pm (Hong Kong time) to commemorate the first day of the 2019 Chinese New Year.

Hosted by the Hong Kong Tourism Board (HKTB) and title-sponsored by Cathay Pacific Airways, the parade will be based around the theme of “Best Fortune. World Party”. 

The event will showcase nine floats accompanied by 13 international and 12 local performing groups.

Highlights include:

Hiplet Ballerinas: With more than 100 million views on their social media videos, the Hiplet Ballerinas will present a trend-setting modern dance that combines hip-hop and ballet.

Junior New System: This all-male Filipino group first gained fame on America’s Got Talent and will perform their routine wearing their signature stilts.

Face Team Acrobatic Korfball: After debuting on Britain’s Got Talent, this Hungarian group went on to achieve 10 Guinness World Records.

The Freaks Acrobatic Show: This award-winning Austrian Acrobatic Troupe will entertain the audience with challenging performances

The floats will also be on public display in Tai Po Lam Tsuen from February 6, and various groups will perform their routines at Tai Po Lam Tsuen and Temple Mall North in Wong Tai Sin on February 6-7.
