Bali’s reputation as beach club central is well-earned. From the enduring success of luxury enclaves such as KU DE TA — a Bali icon for almost two decades — and Potato Head, Bali’s beach clubs have sprung up around the island, offering DJ vibes, daybeds, infinity pools, cocktails, and good food.

Most beach clubs drift slowly into a new day late morning, and keep the music, drinks, and food flowing until late evening.

KU DE TA and Potato Head have set the standard for beach clubs in Bali, but new ones have emerged. Here’s our list of other notable Bali beach clubs worth a visit. Check first on any Covid restrictions in place.
WooBar at W Bali - Seminyak

W Hotels dare to be different and it’s no exception at WooBar at beachside Seminyak. Best known for signature cocktails and a shisha menu by the pool, relaxing seaside lounge chairs and a sundeck, as well as grooving at Woobase, and an underground whisky bar.

Azul Beach Club

Azul Beach Club’s open-air restaurant, an infinity outdoor pool, sun loungers, and private dining terraces overlook Legian beach, providing great sunset views, most especially from the second story of the bamboo treehouse. by chill-out island tunes from live artists and DJs. Azul Beach Club is Bali’s First Tiki Bar boasting its own signature craft cocktails.

Finns Beach Club

Absolute beachfront in front of the Berawa surf break, but only 10 minutes from Seminyak, visitors can flit between single- and double-day beds on a beach or swim in a 30m infinity-edge pool with swim-up pool bar (and underwater speakers). Resident DJs play from 12 noon.

Café del Mar

Now with 12 locations around the world, including Bali, Ibiza’s Café del Mar is an international destination brand now perched perfectly on the Canggu coastline. It mixes Café del Mar Chill House music with Mediterranean and Asian seafood menus. Lots of spots to chill out including the master suite, equipped with bits own pool and private bathroom.

The Lawn, Canguu

Sitting above Bali's most notable longboard wave, in the heart of Canggu Beach, the Lawn hosts some of the biggest names in music and surf.
Complementing daytime lounging, intimate dinners, and fabulous Friday nights are one-off beach barbecues and Sunday Cookouts with pop-ups from Bali's new culinary gems.

COMO Beach Club

COMO Beach Club offers a modern take on the traditional surf shack, setting itself apart from the other bustling beachside venues in Canggu. The kitchen offers healthy COMO Shambhala Cuisine and wood-fired dishes from the grill. The nearby Play by COMO space is open between 9.00am and 6.00pm, allowing younger ones to enjoy creative activities.
La Brisa

On the foreshore of Echo Beach, La Brisa Bali was built using reclaimed wood from more than 500 old fisherman boats that were hand decorated. Laze in treehouses or poolside daybeds A regular Sunday market offers organic goods and natural beauty products supplied by local farmers and artisans.

Vue Beach Club

Located at the Lv8 Resort Hotel on Berawa surfing Beach, Canggu, Vue Beach Club offers cosy cabanas and cocktails. Lemonade parties keep Saturday afternoons fresh and fruity.
El Kabron Bali

Perched 50 metres above sea level on the cliffs of Uluwatu, El Kabron Spanish Restaurant Cliff Club mixes a truly Spanish atmosphere and breathtaking 180-degree view of the Indian Ocean. A Spanish dinner completes the experience.

Mari Beach Club

The latest beach club on the Seminyak block has leant heavily on local artisans and crafts people – including coconut leaf weavers - for its authentic style. Rice terraces became the inspiration of the club’s Terrace Lounge. Twists and turns of the river become tidal pools that lead to the beachfront
Le Pirate Beach Club

Le Pirate Nusa Ceningan is a private beach club with a bar, restaurant, swimming pool, and ten simple “Beach Boxes”, located 20km off the East Coast of Bali. Fast boats regularly leaving Bali for Nusa Lembongan across the Badung Strait.
