DestinationsAbu Dhabi wants you to take each and every byway, your way.

Fast or slow, there’s lots to love in Abu Dhabi

The peaceful oasis at Al Ain.
The peaceful oasis at Al Ain.

Abu Dhabi is telling visitors that there is no need to rush through the emirate’s many attractions.

The advice: Take your time. Travel at your own pace, in your own way.

The campaign coincides with the announcement Abu Dhabi has lifted Covid-19 measures with immediate effect.

Visitors are no longer required to register their vaccination status with the Federal Authority for Identity and Citizenship (ICA) before arrival and do not need Green Pass status on the Al Hosn app to access Abu Dhabi’s experiences and attractions.

The Department of Culture and Tourism’s (DCT Abu Dhabi) latest campaign, ‘Experience Abu Dhabi. Find Your Pace’ is encouraging travellers to slow down and make seamless connections between cultural heritage and numerous fast-paced activities.

Connections such as Yas Island and its year-round theme park action and waterfront attractions, with Saadiyat Island, home to the inspiring Louvre Abu Dhabi, just 15 minutes away.

Saadiyat Cultural District hosts community events and exhibitions at Manarat Al Saadiyat, alongside Berklee Abu Dhabi, the pre-eminent institute of contemporary music and the performing arts.

The district is also the future home of the Natural History Museum Abu Dhabi, Guggenheim Abu Dhabi, Zayed National Museum, and the immersive art of teamLab Phenomena Abu Dhabi.

Another big attraction is UNESCO World Heritage-listed Al Ain, where both adventure and solitude can be found among the desert dunes, and where Abu Dhabi’s past is revealed in museums and ancient forts.

For music lovers, performances by Andrea Bocelli, Post Malone, Imagine Dragons, Blackpink, Sting and John Legend, with Kendrick Lamar and Swedish House Mafia headlining concerts at the Formula 1 Etihad Airways Abu Dhabi Grand Prix.
