Silversea Cruises has announced its support for wildlife conservation through a collaboration with artists Gillie & Marc. The luxury cruise line has sponsored a sculpture of an Atlantic Walrus named Amelia, which is featured in the 'Love the Last March' exhibition held in Singapore which serves as an important initiative aimed at safeguarding the world's most endangered wildlife species.

"Silversea is committed to unlocking the world’s most enriching experiences for travellers in a responsible manner and wildlife conservation lies at the heart of this ethos,” said Adam Radwanski, managing director Asia Pacific of Silversea Cruises. “We hope this exhibition will inspire people to support wildlife conservation globally.”

The official opening of the 'Love the Last March' exhibition took place on 19 May with Radwanski in attendance alongside other guests from Silversea. This exhibition represents a social movement that collaborates with WWF-Singapore (World Wide Fund for Nature Singapore) to raise awareness and funds for the world's most endangered species.

The exhibition features an impressive sculpture spanning 192 metres in length, showcasing 62 individual life-sized animals, including 45 species that face the highest risk of extinction. Gillie & Marc, renowned artists specialising in public wildlife conservation, are the creative minds behind these sculptures. The exhibition will be on display at Gardens by the Bay in Singapore for a duration of 12 months, starting from 19 May 2023.

Silversea's dedication to conservation is evident in its extensive expedition portfolio, allowing travellers to witness rare wildlife and explore remote natural environments. For instance, on Silversea's expedition cruises in Canada and Greenland, passengers have the opportunity to observe walruses and polar bears in their natural habitat.

The Silver Endeavour, offers a 14-day voyage from Churchill to Kangerlussuaq, enabling guests to marvel at the wonders of the Arctic Circle while benefiting from the expertise of experienced expedition guides.

By sponsoring the walrus sculpture in the 'Love the Last March' exhibition, Silversea aims to inspire action and raise awareness about the significance of protecting these creatures and their habitats. The company's involvement in this conservation initiative demonstrates its commitment to preserving wildlife and contributing to global efforts in safeguarding endangered species.
