Royal Caribbean International's Angie Stephen marks the return of the
cruise line's port call sailings to Phuket with Admiral Cherngchai
Chomcherngpat, commander-in-chief of the Royal Thai Navy and deputy
director of Thai Maritime Enforcement Command Center, and Narong Wun
Siew, the governor of Phuket.
Royal Caribbean International's Spectrum of the Seas is exploring
deeper into Asia with longer sailings on 4- to 7-night cruises in which
Phuket will be a big attraction along with Penang and Port Klang in
Malaysia.
Going further, in 2023-24, itineraries will include Vietnam, China and Japan.
Angie Stephen, vice president and managing director, Asia-Pacific,
Royal Caribbean International, said Thailand’s travel and tourism
industries could anticipate a lift from the weekly sailings Spectrum is
scheduled to deliver into Phuket.
“We continue to work closely with governments in the region to
connect our guests with new destinations, adventures, and experiences,
and to become a gateway for fly-cruisers from around the globe looking
to experience the spice of Southeast Asia,” Stephen said.
In more good news, Spectrum is bringing back its All Access Tour,
allowing guests to go behind-the-scenes to see how the Royal Caribbean
experience is brought to life.
Conducted by the most senior officers onboard, guests of all ages
will be able to see first-hand all things cruising, with exclusive tours
of various on-board facilities including the navigational centre of the
ship – the bridge.
Guests can reserve a spot for the tour upon checking in via the Royal Caribbean App.
