MR. MONOPOLY

Get to meet Mr. Monopoly on board Dream Cruises’ festive sailings.

Cruise passengers on board Dream Cruises will be able to embark on a life-sized version of Monopoly on board its two mega-ships during the Lunar New Year celebrations.

From January to March, passengers can join a life-sized version of the game that will bring passengers across the ship’s spaces, with instant prizes to be won.

The game consists of a customised game board and property spaces, which correspond to onboard outlets and amenities, such as Crystal Life Spa, Little Dreamers Club and ESC Experience Lab.

In addition to a grand prize, passengers can win other instant prizes such as on-board offers, discounts and special experiences. Winners of the tournament will move onto a grand tournament, where they an “Ultimate Grand Prize” awaits.

Passengers can play the game at any point in the cruise journey simply by patronising onboard facilities, from dining, service, retail and entertainment outlets. From there, they can collect a full set of game cards to redeem instant prizes on board like retail discounts and complimentary menu items.

Guests can have their cake and eat it, too, with Monopoly-themed tea set. The game’s character, Mr Monopoly, will also make appearances during tea as well as Chinese New Year celebrations on designated sailings and nightly entertainment shows on both ships.

During the festive period, passengers can arrange for a family feast on board, complete with the traditional trimmings – poached dumplings for prosperity; abalone, shitake mushrooms and black moss for wealth; steamed fish for abundance and sweet glutinous balls for family reunion for free at its inclusive restaurants.

Other festive programmes include a Chinese New Year parade and fireworks, lion and dragon dance, traditional handicraft workshop and more.
