First it’s Kaohsiung, then it’s Hainan, and next it’s Okinawa.
Resorts World Cruises, which has been expanding its portfolio of destinations, will next sail to Japan with the launch of its 6-day/5-night Naha-Miyakojima cruise on the Resorts World One ship.
Departing every two weeks from Hong Kong, starting October 1, 2023,
this cruise offers vacationers attractive choices, sailing to the
captivating islands of Naha and Miyakojima in Okinawa, Japan.
Michael Goh, president of Resorts World Cruises, expressed enthusiasm
to provide vacationers with more attractive destination options for the
Resorts World One departing from Hong Kong. “Together with the support
of the Okinawa governor and local authorities, we look forward to
rejuvenating both the local and regional cruise tourism industry
together.”
“With alternate weekly departures from Hong Kong, vacationers can
also choose between the 5-night Naha-Miyakojima cruise itinerary and the
2- or 3-night Sanya cruise itineraries,” added Goh.
Naha, Okinawa's cosmopolitan capital and gateway, boasts seaside
attractions like the vibrant Kokusai Street, offering retail outlets,
cafes, and craft shops. The Makishi Public Market, known as the "Kitchen
of Okinawa", offers the best local seafood. Naha's shopping centres,
including T-Galleria Okinawa, are renowned for domestic duty-free luxury
brands. For a change of pace, the Naminoue Beach and its water
activities, along with the Naminoue Shrine, provide a spiritual touch.
The historic Shurijo Castle Park showcases Naha's ancient heritage.
The cruise itinerary includes a visit to Miyakojima, considered one
of Japan's most beautiful spots. With its sub-tropical climate,
Miyakojima boasts pristine beaches perfect for water sports and
relaxation. Notable beaches include Yonaha Maehama, Sunayama, and
Painagama Beaches. Beyond natural wonders, Miyakojima offers a journey
through rich cultural heritage, traditional architecture, local
festivals, and mouthwatering Okinawan specialties.
Resorts World One provides a range of unique experience for guests to
enjoy diverse cuisine, world-class performances, themed entertainment,
virtual games, and relaxation in the Roman pool or well-equipped gym.
Shopping at boutiques and duty-free shops adds to the cruise's charm,
all while heading to the next exotic destination with local shore tours.
Cruise fares for the 6-day/5-night Naha-Miyakojima cruise start from
HK$4,400 (US$563) per person based on twin-sharing, with bookings
opening from 21 August 2023.
