Princess Cruises has announced its return to Asia with the Diamond Princess, a ship customised for the Asian market. After a three-year hiatus, the vessel will offer guests 5- to 19-day itineraries to Japan, South Korea, and Taiwan, departing from Yokohama and Kobe.

The Diamond Princess has started providing guests with a range of unique itineraries since 15 March, including homeport voyages and tours departing from Kobe, visiting 38 destinations and offering 43 unique tours with 57 departures.

The upcoming sailings for the month of May is themed around "Love" in celebration of Mother's Day, Japanese Golden Week, and Korea's family festivals. To mark the occasion, Princess Cruises has launched a limited promotion for free upper beds for new bookings made by 15 May.

The 116,000-ton Diamond Princess features a range of entertainment and dining options, including fresh sashimi at Kai Sushi, the Lotus Spa, Sanctuary, and bars. Guests can also enjoy the IZUMI Japanese Bath and Japanese bidets in public restrooms.

The Diamond Princess also features the Princess MedallionClass experience, offering next-level technology with TrulyTouchless experiences. The vessel underwent a major renovation in 2019, with enhancements to the main pool deck LED lighting and surround sound system for Movies Under the Stars. The Princess Theater, Explorers Lounge, and Club Fusion have also been renovated to provide an enhanced, more significant Japanese-style experience for guests.
