Norwegian Cruise Line (NCL) is making a splash back in the Asian cruise scene with the deployment of the Norwegian Jewel from October 2023 to March 2024.

Norwegian Jewel will cruise around Asia, offering 12 voyages ranging from 10- to 12-day sailings and even a 16-day Extraordinary Journey that takes cruisers from Seattle, Washington to Tokyo, Japan.

These sailings will include an extensive array of departure ports such as Tokyo and Yokohama, Japan; Taipei (Keelung), Taiwan; Singapore; Kuala Lumpur (Port Klang), Malaysia; Bangkok (Laem Chabang), Thailand; Bali (Benoa), Indonesia; and Seoul (Incheon), South Korea.

NCL will also be making its first-ever visits to Puerto Princesa in Boracay, Salomague in Philippines and Hualien in Taiwan via the Norwegian Jewel.

Norwegian Jewel’s Asia itineraries mainly comprises less than two sea-days per cruise with multiple late-night departures and overnight calls in Osaka, Japan; Singapore; and Phuket, Thailand. Almost all of its sailings are open-jaw, enabling cruisers to disembark at the destination where the ship calls at and further their travels from there.

"We’re thrilled to return to Asia and to reaffirm our commitment to one of the most sought-after cruise destinations around the world,” said Harry Sommer, president and CEO of Norwegian Cruise Line. “Asia is a key source market, and our return allows our guests from Asia the freedom to sail with us from their doorstep.”

The 2,376 capacity Norwegian Jewel offers a range of staterooms that can accommodate various budgets, along with some of the largest suites in the cruise industry. The ship’s Haven Deluxe Owner’s Suite is the most luxurious onboard, featuring expansive spaces and a 24-hour butler service.

While cruising to the next port of call, cruisers can occupy their time with Norwegian Jewel’s myriad of activities and amenities that include its outdoor Sports Complex, Zumba and Flywheel Sports classes, theatre shows, and multiple bars and lounges.
