MSC Cruises announced their participation as a Diamond Sponsor of Travel Weekly China's CruiseWorld China on October 12, 2015, in Shanghai, China. MSC Cruises CEO Gianni Onorato will join Carnival Corp. CEO Arnold Donald; Norwegian Cruise Line Holdings CEO Frank Del Rio; and Zinan Liu, president of the China and North Asia Pacific region for Royal Caribbean International, as a speaker at CruiseWorld China.

The one-day event, held at the Le Royal Meridien Shanghai, will bring hundreds of travel agents and cruise industry leaders together for a day filled with insight from top cruise executives and distribution partners, and networking among attendees.

MSC Cruises, part of the Mediterranean Shipping Company, is the market leader in Europe — including in the Mediterranean — South America and South Africa, and sails year-round in the Mediterranean and the Caribbean. 

Present in China since 2010, MSC Cruises recently announced a strategic partnership with CAISSA Touristic that will see the newly-renovated MSC Lirica sail from Shanghai in May 2016. 

MSC Cruises was the first company ever to earn the Bureau Veritas "7 Golden Pearls" for superior management and environmental stewardship as it feels a deep responsibility for the environments in which it operates.

Almost 300 available seats are almost sold out and registration has a quick take-up rate.
