Instead of a regular corporate lunch or dinner, Princess Cruises decided to do things a little differently at their latest appreciation session for travel trade partners, who enjoyed perfume-making sessions while also receiving updates on upcoming cruising itineraries next year.
Designed with the intention to be mood-lifters and energy-enhancers, “we wanted to reward our travel advisors who have been working tirelessly to support Princess Cruises… and to give them a unique experience that would be calming and uplifting as their jobs can be quite stressful at times,” said Farriek Tawfik, director Southeast Asia, Princess Cruises.
At the events across Southeast Asia, participants were free to pick and mix ingredients ranging across herbs, tea varieties and floral notes to customise a bespoke fragrance that reflected individual personalities. What made the 20ml bottle extra special was how agents could pick base scents pre-tailored according to countries – such as the orchid floral note representing Singapore’s national flower, the hibiscus for Malaysia, and teak for Indonesia.
Apart from a relaxing time, the informal environment was perfect for easy networking amongst agents, where Princess Cruises also took the chance to share their new itineraries for the 2020-21 cruising seasons for Asia, Europe, Alaska and Australia/New Zealand.
