Resorts World Cruises has announced the launch of its dual homeports in
Southeast Asia. Beginning 18 July, cruisers will be able to board
Genting Dream from Port Klang in Kuala Lumpur, in addition to its
existing Singapore homeport.
the addition of its Kuala Lumpur homeport, this new arrangement will
give cruisers the option of choosing to embark from Singapore or
“Resorts World Cruises is excited to take the lead for the cruise
sector to boost the in-and-outbound tourists for Singapore; and to bring
cruising to the ‘doorsteps’ of Malaysians residing in central
Peninsular Malaysia as they can depart from Kuala Lumpur, which is
convenient and affordable,” said Michael Goh, president of Resorts World
cruise line’s dual homeport arrangement aims to capture the 10 million
population residing in central Peninsula Malaysia comprising Kuala
Lumpur, Selangor, Negeri Sembilan and Malacca that’s situated in close
proximity to Port Klang.
Round-trip two-night cruises from Kuala Lumpur to Singapore will
depart on Thursdays and Saturdays, and three-night cruises from Kuala
Lumpur to Penang and Singapore will depart on Mondays. Sailings from
Singapore will remain the same on Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays.
