On 29 March 2023, Disney Cruise Line revealed its plans to set anchor in Singapore come 2025 for a minimum of five years, with their newest vessel that will be the eighth in its fleet.
As the excitement continues to build, Disney Cruise Line has finally
disclosed the name of their forthcoming Singapore-based ship - the
Disney Adventure. The naming took place on 9 September during the
Destination D23 Event in Lake Buena Vista, Florida, with Disney Cruise
Line President Thomas Mazloum doing the honours.
The name 'Disney Adventure' captures the essence of exploration and
promises an extraordinary voyage through Disney, Pixar, and Marvel
narratives, transcending imagination to explore the vast Disney universe
and beyond.
According to Disney Cruise Line, guests onboard the Disney Adventure
can look forward to immersing in a carefully curated world inspired by
fantasy, discovery, and adventure. The vessel is set to feature
innovative Disney-themed experiences, complemented by top-notch
entertainment, dining options, and guest service.
The construction of the 208,000-gross-ton Disney Adventure is
presently in progress at the MV Werften shipyard in Wismar, Germany.
This project commenced following Disney Cruise Line's acquisition of the unfinished vessel, formerly known as the Global Dream, which they acquired last year.
