SINGAPORE – As cruise lines everywhere start putting out timelines for reopening and recovery, it is more essential than ever for industry experts to familiarise with the updated regulations that govern cruise operations worldwide.
Cruise Lines International Association (CLIA) is offering open access to its new online training course, Cruise Champion, so travel agents and interested parties from outside the association’s membership can benefit.
In addition to new and existing protocols, the course will inform participants about the workings of the global cruise industry and common misperceptions, so agents can respond effectively to clients’ queries.
“By sharing more knowledge about cruise line practices and the strict regulations that govern our industry, we can build a bigger network of voices who advocate for cruising globally,” said CLIA managing director Australasia & Asia Joel Katz.
Some of the topics being covered include regulation, safety, health, security, environmental protection and corporate social responsibility.
