Ambassador Cruise has taken daytime cruising in the UNESCO World Heritage site of Halong Bay to the next level.

On 10 February, the five-star line launched its new vessel, the "Ambassador Day Cruise II," making it the largest ship to ever navigate the waters of Halong Bay. With its five floors that house two restaurants, a large open-air jacuzzi, and live band entertainment, this experience onboard is comparable to any overnight cruise journey.

According to Nguyen Cao Son, the founder of Asia Premier Cruises Corporation, which owns Ambassador Cruise, February was the perfect time to launch the day cruise, following the world's reopening and the recent completion of a new expressway that takes visitors from Van Don International Airport to Halong Bay in just under 50 minutes.

"The day cruise offers an exciting new way for many travelers to experience this breathtakingly beautiful destination in style in just one day," he said.

Moreover, Edgar C. Cayana, general manager of Ambassador Cruise, Halong Bay, noted that the company has observed an increase in family travel and is also eager to welcome Chinese tourists.

"We have the advantage of being the largest cruise ship on Halong Bay with 45 cabins, making it possible to accommodate large groups of up to 500 passengers. Our ship also features an elevator, making it convenient for our physically challenged and senior citizen passengers."

Ambassador Cruise recognises the importance of catering to diverse dietary requirements when welcoming international guests. Recently, the company hosted 400 Indian guests onboard for a wedding, and they were able to enjoy delicious vegetarian food.

The fine dining restaurant onboard also provides Halal and Kosher options that serve seafood and an authentic Vietnamese buffet, including a seven-course western set menu.

Since launching its first vessel in 2021, Ambassador Cruise has made a name for itself as the leading luxury cruise operator on Halong Bay. It has two ships in its fleet and previously offered overnight cruises only.

With the jump into the day cruise segment, Cayana added that the company will launch a sunset and dinner cruise on the bay in March and introduce their third and biggest overnight vessel – the 50-cabin Ambassador Cruise III – before the end of 2023.
