Dream Cruises is rolling out the royal treatment to its guests on selected upcoming sailings with a new culinary programme anchored by celebrity chefs Darren McGrady and Ivan Li.
Specially curated menus by the two internationally-acclaimed chefs
will give guests a taste of some of the recipes from their illustrious stints during special sailings from this October till January next year.
Chef Darren McGrady has helmed the kitchen for members of British royalty such as Queen Elizabeth
II, Diana, Princess of Wales, Princes William and Harry for over 15 years, while Chef Ivan Li of Family Li Imperial Cuisine hails from a family of imperial high court officials who served the courts of the Qing dynasty in China.

booked at its luxury suite enclave, The Palace, will be regaled with specially curated menus by the two chefs, as well as a series of complimentary themed programmes, including a Peking opera, British garden tea party, fascinator-making workshop,
tribute concert to The Beatles.
All guests on board will also be able to taste a selection of recipes at inclusive restaurants on-board both ships.
There will also be a chance to get a sip of the beverages favoured by Queen Elizabeth
II at Bar City on both cruise ships, as well as meet-and-greet sessions with Chef McGrady and Chef Li, who will share stories of food and drink in the imperial courts of the East and West.
The new experience is part of its signature culinary
programme for guests, Taste the Dream – Wine and Dine at Sea, that serves haute cuisine inspired by the East and West.
Michael Goh, president of Dream Cruises and head of international sales of Genting Cruise Lines said the programme that
debuted last year with the region’s top celebrity chefs was “well-received by discerning guests”.
“This year, we are delighted to present “A Taste of the Palace”, where our guests will indulge in an immersive experience of regal gastronomy
at sea, comprised of wine-pairing tasting menus, enrichment talks, interactive workshops and more,” said Mr Goh.

Here’s when and where guests can catch the chefs on board:
Chef Darren McGrady will sail on Genting Dream from November 11 to 13, World Dream on December 29 to January 3 (departing from Hong Kong and Guangzhou), presenting two seasonal degustation menus, a vegetarian menu and an a la carte menu featuring
some of the British royal family’s favourite dishes.
• Chef Ivan Li will sail on World Dream in October, presenting three tasting menus from Family Li Imperial Cuisine. From October 13 to 20, guests who embark on the five-night and two-night
cruises with departures from Hong Kong and Guangzhou most iconic dishes in the court of Qing dynasty.
