The opening of the fully-equipped gym for police officers in Guwahati is aimed at “inspiring police personnel to adopt a more physically active lifestyle,” Indigo said.
India’s largest and fastest-growing airline, IndiGo, is not letting up on its campaign to ensure the country’s cops are fit for duty.
It has set up another police gym, extending its #FittoFly CSR initiative to eight cities across India.
The opening of the fully-equipped gym for police officers in Guwahati is aimed at “inspiring police personnel to adopt a more physically active lifestyle,” Indigo said.
The gym has been incorporated into the police station at Guwahati near the city’s airport.
Aditya Ghosh, president of IndiGo, said setting up gyms for police personnel was an important move to encourage them to start making choices to live a healthier life by choosing to be holistically fit.
IndiGo launched its first gym at Jaipur international airport in February this year.
